Baptism
Adults - When we come to faith in Jesus we are invited to be baptised as a public sign of our faith. It is also how we officially join the church family. We hold adult baptism services at least once a year but more often if needed. If you are an adult who regularly attends services at Christ Church and would like to be baptised please speak to Gordon or one of the team on a Sunday.
Children are also welcome to be baptised (or ‘christened’) as a declaration of the parents’ intention to raise their child to know and love Jesus. Alternatively some parents may choose a thanksgiving service instead of baptism. Funerals
The loss of a loved one is one of life’s most difficult times. A Church of England funeral is available to everyone, offering support before, during and after the service. If you have experienced a bereavement and like to talk to someone about a funeral service, please contact us.
The role of the funeral directors is to liaise between the church, crematorium or cemetery regarding times and dates and they are also responsible for pulling together various practical elements of the funeral service. They will also provide information on fees and how to spread the cost of a funeral.
