Banns of Marriage
Banns are an announcement in church of your intention to marry and a chance for anyone to put forward a reason why the marriage may not lawfully take place. If you are wanting to get married at Christ Church we will guide you through the Banns process.
If you are not getting married at Christ Church but want to have your Banns read here please check that we are your parish church using A Church Near You (in the list of results look for the entry that says “this is the parish church”) before completing and returning the application form below to info@cctw.org.uk

Marriages can only take place at Christ Church for those who fulfil one of the criteria listed below under the guidelines set out by the Church of England. Click HERE for more information about the “qualifying connections”.
